We Work Hard to Help Those in Need
LSU Library Book Baazar
Each year, Kean’s helps to collect over 50,000 books to benefit the LSU Libraries. Books are collected and provided for use in the LSU Library Book Baazar, helping to fund library programs.
LSU Library Book Bazaar supports library acquisitions and services to help our local library programs. Each spring, the Friends of the LSU Libraries holds its annual Book Bazaar.
Proceeds from the bazaar go into an endowment that has provided more than $1 million in support of library acquisitions and services through the years. Throughout the year, volunteers from Friends of the LSU Libraries collect thousands of donated books for the LSU Book Bazaar.
To get involved, just bring your old books to any Kean’s Fine Dry Cleaning location. Books are collected from May to October.
Attire for Hire
We partner with Women in Media to host an annual donation drive called Attire for Hire. Each year, Kean’s helps collect gently used or new professional women’s clothing and accessories to benefit local women re-entering the workforce. We take items such as suits, dresses, blouses, shoes, pants, purses, and jewelry.
The donated clothes go directly to organizations assisting women who:
- Struggle with financial issues
- Are victims of mental or physical abuse
- Are recovering from alcohol and drug addictions
All donors receive a coupon for $5 off at any Kean’s Dry Cleaning location. Our clothing drive is every year during the month of April. If you would like to help make a difference in a woman’s life, please reach out to us or Women in the Media today.
